Stupid Pigs

Moral of this story is....if you must go out don't cough on anyone and wash your hands. Mostly just stay home.

Tacoma Dome Holiday Fair
This last week was this years long awaited Tacoma Holiday Food and Gift Festival.
We have been preparing for months for this show and it turned out great. It required hundreds of hours cutting wood, sanding, painting, sanding some more, cutting vinyl and lots of weeding vinyl.
We were so grateful to our family that helped so much with everything. Jeffrey built wonderful counters for our booth. They are extremely heavy so we used lots of manpower loading and unloading them.
Linda came up for the week to use her awesome sales skills (having the grandkids here was definitely a big bonus!!!).
Daniel got to see what it was like to be a stay at home mom with two kids and gained quite and appreciation for what Linda does everyday. Karen took off a couple of days of work to help out. Jacob was ready to lift and carry anything we needed…..it just goes on and on. Our family is a huge blessing.

Another Gator

The school has changed quite a bit since I went there (I was there the first year it opened), but it is fun to still root for the same navy blue and gold. Friday, October 9, 2009
Called to Serve
In September Daniel received the call that a faithful son waits 19 years to get. I was down in Oregon at the time so we set up the web cams so we could all be together for the big opening of his mission call. He has been called to spend the next two years in the Argentina, Buenos Aires West mission.

We were all so excited! All of the men in our family will speak fluent Spanish (Adam pointed out that he can speak Spanish too)! Jack was in the Buenos Aires South mission a short 30 years ago.

Buenos Aires has a temple that was dedicated in 1986.

Argentina is well known for it's great soccer. The world cup will be going on while he is there.
Also it is the home of the Argentine Tango although Daniel will be sworn off of being that close to girls for two years.
We are so excited for him and feel so blessed that we will have another full time missionary in our family. I have no doubt that he will be a great example to many.Friday, September 25, 2009
Promises, Promises
I SWEAR that I will update this blog soon. It has been an amazing summer with so much going on. When I have some time I will get right to it. In the mean time look at my windmill lettering blog to see why I am too busy to write.

Wow, I am so lucky!!
Today is my birthday and I came home from work to a wonderful surprise. Linda schemed with Ron and Laura Gabel and they built me this gorgeous AMAZING headboard.
Hanging over the bed is my present from Jack. My very favorite Joseph Brickey painting. Apparently Laura has been hiding it since she visited Joseph back in July. I feel so blessed not to mention spoiled.
